What Is a MagSafe Case?
A MagSafe case is a phone case with a ring of magnets built into the back. Those magnets line up with MagSafe chargers, mounts and accessories, so they snap into place and stay there. Below you will find what that means in practice and how to pick one.
What does MagSafe mean on a phone case?
MagSafe is Apple's magnetic attachment system for iPhone. A regular case sits between your phone and a MagSafe accessory and weakens the magnetic hold. A MagSafe case solves that with its own magnet module, so accessories attach to the case itself.
What does a MagSafe case do?
Accessories snap on
Magnetic chargers, stands, mounts and grips attach to the back of the case and align automatically.
It still protects your phone
The magnets are built into the case, so you do not have to choose between protection and magnetic accessories.
Do I need a MagSafe case?
If you use MagSafe chargers or accessories, a MagSafe case keeps them working the way they should. If you only charge with a cable or a regular wireless pad, a non-magnetic case can be enough.

How to choose
